Vor ein paar Wochen war ich mir noch relativ sicher , dass The Social Network die Oscars für die beste Regie und den besten Film abräumen wird. Allerdings scheint es auf der Zielgeraden nun doch spannender als zunächst vermutet zu werden, The King´s Speech wird sich allem Anschein nach ein Kopf an Kopf Rennen mit The Social Network liefern. Wenn man ehrlich ist, sind eigentlich eh nur 6 Kategorien wirklich interessant, die besten Haupt- und Nebendarsteller sowie wie eben erwähnten Awards für beste Regie und besten Film.
Für die Statistik trotzdem mal ein paar Nominierungen:
The King’s Speech: 12
True Grit: 10
Inception: 8
The Social Network: 8
The Fighter: 7
127 Hours: 6
Black Swan: 5
Toy Story 3: 5
Könnte mir gut vorstellen, dass The King´s Speech zwar 3 der "wichtigen" Oscars abstaubt, The Social Network und/oder True Grit aber insgesamt (trotz weniger Nominierungen) mehr Oscars verliehen bekommen. Avatar war letztes ja auch für 9 goldene Glatzen nominiert, hat aber nur 3 gewinnen können, ebenso Der seltsame Fall des Benjamin Button, der 2009 bei 13 Nominierungen nur 3 relativ unwichtige Awards abgreifen konnte. Bei Up in the Air (2010) it was even more bitter (Not a single Oscar, despite much as 6 nominations), and Frost / Nixon (2009) had at least one of the 5 Oscars deserved.
Well wait, yes, maybe everything is quite different ... The Oscar night can definitely come:).

Edit: Had to take
True Grit Inception to put it to, because the strips together won with The King's Speech, the most Oscars (4). True Grit was namely, despite 10 nominations from completely empty ... please, if you later on the DVD "Nominated for 10 Oscars" must print, not even with a small but Oscar can advertise ... Btw, The Social Network has at least 3 Oscars dusted ... Otherwise, it was
but no big surprises, The King's Speech was expected also won the awards in the categories of actor, director and film (I have since corrected just in time;)), and otherwise I was not even at all so bad :).
And the only way to the edge, to the mere statistics should not to pay attention too much:
127 Hours (6 nominations, 0 Oscars) was I found really good, Black Swan (5 nominations, 1 Oscar), I, despite all Tanzerei still worth seeing and True Grit (10 nominations, 0 Oscars) was OK Alice in Wonderland (3 nominations, 2 Oscars), however, do not even have the 3D look to pull out of the mediocre ...
